Here at Luv-A-Rug Services Inc., we've been through the wringer—or should I say, the washer—on a thrilling journey to secure our very own trademark.

Imagine, if you will, a world where not all rugs are created equal. In this world, there exists a company (let's call them "Rival Rugs") who decided that "Luv-A-Rug" sounded like a splendid name. Splendid enough to, well, copy.
Yes, back in February 2023, these folks filed for a trademark on a name so similar to ours that I had to squint at the paperwork to spot the difference.
Now, here at Luv-A-Rug®, we're pretty attached to our name.
It's like a family member, but one you actually like.
It's not just a name; it's a promise of love—love for your rugs, that is. And let’s be honest, not just any name can carry the gravitas of years spent rescuing rugs from the brink of wine stains and pet odors.
A Marketing Magician at Work
Enter our Marketing Director—no cape, no flashy superhero suit, just a sharp mind and a sharper pen.
This wizard of words and wits went toe-to-toe with the shadowy forces of "almost the same trademark" using nothing but his smarts and a deep dive into the thrilling world of trademark law. And even better, he managed NOT to involve a single lawyer, their astronomical legal fees or the hassles of courtroom drama.
He deployed such dazzling bureaucratic maneuvers that Rival Rugs didn’t know what hit them.
By May 9, 2024, they waved the white flag and abandoned their trademark claims, making room for the one, the only, Luv-A-Rug® to secure its rightful place in the annals of Trademark Triumph.
Dusty's Dream
Meanwhile, our fearless leader, Stephen "Dusty" Roberts, watched this saga unfold with the pride of a parent at a kindergarten concert. Dusty has long dreamed of a world where Luv-A-Rug® stands alone, unchallenged, on the mountaintop of rug cleaning excellence.
With our name now officially trademarked, Dusty can rest easy at night, knowing his beloved brainchild is safe from the perils of confusingly similar names.
