Why donate your unwanted area rug to Luv-A-Rug?
Because charities will not accept any rugs from individuals who want to donate them. The reason is because they do not want to expose their volunteers to any health hazards a used rug may contain (like allergens and pet accidents).
Luv-A-Rug has created relationships with many of the major charities here in greater Victoria. They are more than happy to accept rugs from us because they know the rugs are clean, healthy and ready to use to raise funds with.
And yes...we clean the rugs for free and deliver them to the charities!
Where To Bring Your Rug Donation
Location
- Tuesday to Friday 6am to 1pm
- Saturday 8am to 3:30pm
What to bring
Any used or unwanted area rug of any size that is in good condition. Luv-A-Rug will pay to have your rug cleaned, make any minor repairs and then donate it to the charity of your choice.
"All donations are gratefully accepted, but we do have restrictions regarding permanent damage or permanent stains. Just text us a photo or 2 and we will give you the thumbs up or down on your generous donation!
What you will get in return for your donation
For your area rug donation, Luv-A-Rug will give you FREE rug protection finish on any area rug from your home you bring with you at the time of your donation (up to a $150 value)
This rug protection finish is completely safe for people & pets and is guaranteed to keep your area rug from getting dirty or stained for up to 6 months.
If your rug does get stained or dirty within that 6 month period we will re-clean it again for free!

The goal
To find and save as many rugs as possible from the landfill. A lot of unwanted rugs have years of life left in them and can easily be cleaned and recycled instead of being thrown out.
To help charities offer another great way to raise funds for their causes. Area rugs are very popular with charities but until now they didn't have a way to accept them without exposing their volunteers to possible hazards. Luv-A-Rug has solved that problem by making the rugs clean and healthy again for free so the charities can take them to help raise much the needed funds for their cause
