We did not recognize a couple of the carpets

We brought in a collection of carpets from my Fathers home to be cleaned.

Some were from Mexico and some here from Turkey and Iran. All needed cleaning badly and some needed repairs.

Dusty looked at the carpets, gave me information about the age and origin of the carpets. Luv-A-Rug did a great job.

All the repairs are excellent and the rugs look like new! In fact we didn’t recognize a couple of the carpets as the original colour had reemerged!!!

We are very happy customers and have just take in 4 more carpets to be cleaned!

A little History of Esquimalt BC (courtesy of Wikipedia)

Esquimalt (pronounced Ess-KWY-malt) is an anglicized version of the First Nations word "es-whoy-malth," which means the place of gradually shoaling water.

First Nations people of the Coast Salish group lived in the area now known as Esquimalt for approximately 4000 years before any European settled in the area.

Esquimalt first began as an agricultural settlement but has since become a vibrant modern community with a Naval base. The naval base, established in 1865, is now the largest employer in the Esquimalt, and the original town site has disappeared inside the boundaries of the Canadian Forces Base.

In June 2010, the Royal Canadian Navy celebrated its 100th anniversary with a fleet review in the waters off Greater Victoria, by Canada's Governor General Michaëlle Jean. The review was attended by warships from Canada, France, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the United States, and US and Canadian Coast Guard vessels.

Fun Fact: The city of Esquimalt still has some curious laws, like the one that says you are limited to four “urban hens” but you can keep up to 10 ornamental birds.
