The Difference Is Truly Remarkable

We were very impressed with the service.

Our once beloved family rug had not been thoroughly cleaned for some time. The difference is truly remarkable now that the work has been completed. We have fallen in love with it all over again!

The care and experience of the Luv-A- Rug professionals were in evidence throughout the whole process. They gave great advice and delivered in every way.

A little History of Esquimalt BC (courtesy of Wikipedia)

Esquimalt (pronounced Ess-KWY-malt) is an anglicized version of the First Nations word "es-whoy-malth," which means the place of gradually shoaling water.

First Nations people of the Coast Salish group lived in the area now known as Esquimalt for approximately 4000 years before any European settled in the area.

Esquimalt first began as an agricultural settlement but has since become a vibrant modern community with a Naval base. The naval base, established in 1865, is now the largest employer in the Esquimalt, and the original town site has disappeared inside the boundaries of the Canadian Forces Base.

In June 2010, the Royal Canadian Navy celebrated its 100th anniversary with a fleet review in the waters off Greater Victoria, by Canada's Governor General Michaëlle Jean. The review was attended by warships from Canada, France, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, the United States, and US and Canadian Coast Guard vessels.

Fun Fact: The city of Esquimalt still has some curious laws, like the one that says you are limited to four “urban hens” but you can keep up to 10 ornamental birds.
